Here at Coming Out Asian we have created a set of workshops and activities addressing different needs in our community. Whether it’s just a listening ear, a guiding voice, relationship advice or building intimacy, here are the various products that you can sign up for.

Full Day Workshop
Considering the Confucian/Filial nature of our society and our families, coming out can be particularly difficult for Asian people. We believe that coming out to oneself is the first and most important step in this journey. When that happens, we can then start to let our loved ones into our lives, and “invite in”, while planning carefully how, when and what to say to them, and gently guiding them with love to reach the place of acceptance that we ourselves had to work hard to get to.
Coming Out Asian is an intensive, interactive, group experience that delves deeply into the emotional and psychological work of coming out.
The COA workshop is a safe, discreet and supportive environment where we’ll explore where you are in the coming out process, what got you here and how to move forward safely, confidently and lovingly. We look at how coming out might affect you, your loved ones, friends or colleagues, and what to expect before, during and afterwards each time you come out.
Coming Out is not a one-time event, but rather a process, one that repeats itself with each person we come out to.
This workshop will help you to:
- Decide when, where, and how to safely come out.
- Develop a personal plan for each person you come out to.
- Build a supportive social network to aid you in the process.
- Discuss why it’s particularly difficult to come out in Asian families.
- Identify societal and personal stereotypes and learn how to deal with them.
- Conduct a personal emotional inventory / wellness audit.
- Explore the emotional stages of coming out for you and those you come out to.
- Learn to safely handle reactions to your coming out.
- Understand the emotional and behavioral changes that happen after coming out.
Coming Out Asian is an intensive day-long seminar that involves emotional work, group discussion, role play and personal planning.

Our Cuddle Party is a safe, non-sexual, consensual space where you can explore the benefits of human touch, improve your communication skills, and establish personal boundaries.
You will be guided through a series of exercises designed to help you connect with others in a comfortable and non-judgmental environment. You can participate in activities like cuddling, hugging, holding hands, or simply chatting and sharing stories with like-minded individuals.
