Day 1 – Arrive & Exhale (Monday, Dec 29)

We’ll meet you at the airport and transport you to the private villa. Unpack, settle in, and exhale deeply into retreat mode. Take a dip in the pool. Chill out. Happy Hour will be soon, followed by a welcome dinner that will ground us in community, laughter and anticipation for the week ahead.

Day 2 – Adventure Day (Tuesday, Dec 30)

We’ll kick things off with an early start. Grab breakfast, then we’ll head north to the Mae Teang River where our guides will meet us to do some white water rafting. The river runs Class III and IV rapids, so thrills should abound. After the river run, we’ll enjoy a Thai lunch made by the locals. Tonight is the Villa BBQ Pool Party, with stars overhead and music in the breeze. Wear what you want. Or don’t.

Day 3 – Ring it in (Wednesday, Dec 31)

The final day of the year is all yours. Sleep in, stretch out, and claim the villa as your sanctuary. Today is a full villa day to relax, reflect on the year past, and consider goals for the future. Take a swim. Bare it all by the pool. Unwind. This evening, we’ll head out for an unforgettable Northern Thai street food tour, visiting several places that have been awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand Award. Then comes the magic: we’ll welcome the New Year with a sky full of possibility. Chiang Mai’s New Year’s celebrations are famous for sky lanterns and fireworks, and we’ll see both!

Day 4 – Starting Softly (Thursday, Jan 1)

Last night was a late one, so today we’ll start slowly with a delicious breakfast and a little leisure time. The first priority of the new year should be self-care, so we’ll indulge today in a luxury spa treatment to get things started. This evening, we’ll head into town for a dazzling cultural show and dinner, a celebration of Thai heritage to inspire the year ahead.

Day 5 – Monks or Mellow (Friday, Jan 2)

Today, you’ll choose your finale. Either attend a “monk chat”, a day-long exploration of Buddhism, its history, its practices, and the whys, whens and hows of monks do what they do. The day includes informal lecture, sitting and walking meditations, and brief chanting. Or … stay back and soak up the peace of your final day at the villa. Relax, take a swim, enjoy lunch and the company of your villa mates. As the sun sets, we’ll come together for one last shared meal, full of warmth, memories and perhaps a few naughty toasts to all we’ve learned, loved, and let go of.

Day 6 – Farewell

There are no “goodbyes,” only see-you-soons”. After breakfast, we’ll head to the airport. We’ll part ways, but be softer and stronger than when we arrived. We’ll leave with more than just stories; we’ll leave with deeper friendships and a new chosen family.
